We can confirm that 17-year old Aaron Wildig has signed professional terms with Cardiff City Football Club.

Wildig is a first year Academy player and has impressed during his time in the Academy and has already played Victory Shield football for Wales, despite being born in Hereford.

Aaron now looks set to have a bright future at the club and joins the list of players such as Joe Ledley and Aaron Ramsey in players that have progressed from the Youth academy.

The youngster was understandably delighted to have signed the contract especially as it came on his birthday, he said: "Yeah it's my birthday today and it is the best present I could have.

"It's great news but I will now keep my feet on the ground and do alot of work with all the coaches, such as Ards and Wilko and try to improve as a player."
