Darlington manager Colin Todd today signed winger Jamie Devitt on a month's loan from Premiership club Hull City.
Devitt has yet to play in the Premiership, but he did play for City in the Asia Cup and scored from the penalty spot against Beijing. Toddy watched the Republic of Ireland under 19 international in action on Monday night against Everton Reserves.
He will now go straight into the squad to face AFC Bournemouth at the Northern Echo Arena on Saturday.
Going out of the club is Nathan Porritt, who came to the Northern Echo Arena initially on a one month loan, with Darlo having the option of extending the arrangement with the Boro.
But Porritt hasn't done enough to persuade Toddy into asking for an extension. Porritt made his debut for us at home to Crewe, and also started the matches against Port Vale, Cheltenham and the two games against Lincoln City. But his first half withdrawal against Lincoln City at Sincil Bank meant that the writing was on the wall, and he only made a brief five minute appearance for Quakers at the Crown Ground last Friday night.
