3D Environment Artist

Position Overview:

Associate Producer

Position Overview:
The role of Associate Producer is to work alongside and assist the producer managing the development of a game project from pre-production to release.

The successful candidate will assist with the day to day, and week to week process of managing a cross discipline game team. The associate producer will be able to provide support to keep the project moving forward, and the team positive, informed and focused whilst keeping momentum. The role will also require working with the project leads to generate milestone schedules, identify dependencies, and prioritise work.

The role will also require the development and fostering of positive relationships and cohesiveness within the team and other relevant third parties including internal relationships with SEGA.

Required:

Senior Games Tester (Alien IP)

Position Overview

The Senior Games Tester position is a highly responsible job; test planning, organising tests, reporting bugs and providing quality feedback for our titles in development. We are after motivated, experienced leaders and organisers.

This permanent position is for our new Alien IP title currently in development. Several additional positions are also needed for our established Total War team during the same period. Most of the positions are for console platforms.

  • Create and drive test plans for  your assigned gaming platform
  • Pro-actively manage allocated staff to best cover testing needs efficiently
  • Communicate key issues and requirements to development team and QA management
  • Test games in development for software bugs
  • Manage specific technical tests
  • Enter bugs clearly and accurately into our bug database
  • Verify and recreate bugs as required
  • Report additional balancing, design and accessibility problems

 

Essential

  • Experience of two shipped game cycles; in particular, testing experience on one or more AAA console titles

Video/Graphics Artist (Console Team)

Position Overview:
We are looking for an exceptionally skilled, highly motivated, creative video/graphics artist with a proven track record in visual communication within the entertainment industry.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate their ability to produce a wide range of world-class marketing assets. From static imagery to video assets and printed publications, the candidate should be comfortable producing original materials in addition to the capture and presentation of existing content.

Graphics Programmer

Position Overview:
To work with the PC graphics engine team developing Total War. This is an opportunity to push the limits of graphics programming, and to make a real contribution to a world-leading strategy game franchise. This role will be both varied and challenging, including working with rendering systems for thousands of men, advanced smoke and impostering systems, and many other areas.

Key Responsibilities
To be involved with researching and implementing new graphics related technologies
Program modules of the game as assigned and scheduled with the Lead Programmer or the Project Manager including design, implementation, de-bugging and documentation
Write clean, well-commented and re-useable code
Take part of the planning process and with the Lead Programmer or the Project Manager, define realistic deadlines and deliverables and adhere to them
Communicate early any impediment that may arise and elaborate alternative solutions
Adhere to the company’s high-quality programming standards and development process

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Essential:
Strong interest in researching and implementing new graphics related technologies with a good current knowledge of graphics techniques (e.g. imposters, shadow mapping, ambient occlusion)
Expert in Direct3D, with deep knowledge of D3D9 and good familiarity with D3D10
Deep experience developing with DirectX 9
Experienced and proficient in C++
Mathematically strong, with good knowledge of all parts of the 3D pipeline
Experience with writing and maintaining shaders in HLSL
Self-motivated, capable of taking ownership of a task and seeing it through to completion

Sound Designer

Position Overview

The Sound Designers primary purpose is to aid in all audio content creation, implementation and testing for Total War and Total War Digital titles developed at the studio with a focus on sound effects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To follow and assist in the execution of the audio direction set out by the Audio Manager, delivering a AAA sound experience.
  • To create sound effects and audio assets using techniques such as synthesis, location recording, Foley recording in addition to utilising pre-recorded material.
  • Integrate audio content into games using scripting or other in-house tools and software.
  • To create, integrate and mix audio content for trailers, demo’s and conferences.
  • To test all aspects of implemented game audio to ensure playback is as intended and fit for commercial release.
  • Report directly to and keeping well informed the audio manager of all issues and problems.
  • To help construct and maintain the in-house sound effects library, adhering to set conventions.
  • Travel to various locations, organising and conducting sound effects recording sessions.
  • Refine and develop craft, keeping abreast of latest developments in game audio.

Essential:

  • In-house games  development experience as a ‘sound designer’ or similar.
  • Excellent sound design  skills, showing creative flare.
  • Professional location  and studio based sound effects recording experience.
  • Experienced at integrating audio in to and mixing game projects.
  • Ability to track lay and mix audio to linear footage to commercial standards.
  • Skilled and efficient with audio editing tools such as Wavelab, ProTools, Nuendo.
  • Experience of DSP, Synthesizer and Effects programming.
  • Willingness to learn new in-house audio tools and software for integrating content.
  • Ability to keep to schedules and work well under pressure.

  • 4 shipped full price retail console or PC games, completing full in-house product cycles.

  • Experience recording editing and mixing dialogue.
  • Experience recording classical and popular music instruments to a high standard.

The successful applicant will be interested in all things graphics related and work as part of the team developing all aspects of a game specific engine for current and future generation consoles.
