Chabad Jewish Center of Jupiter Groundbreaking

  • 11 photos
  • After much planning and anticipation, Abacoa's newest and most exciting project was officially launched at the January 23rd Groundbreaking Celebration of The Chabad Jewish Center. Hundreds of people attended the party to kick off one of the largest Abacoa projects long awaited by the community. Rabbi Berel Barash, the Center's spiritual leader, spearheaded the project which has drawn the attention of neighbors, city and county officials, local and national politicians. Congressman Alan West spoke to the over-filled gathering commending the Rabbi for his perseverance and dedication in getting the project off the ground. When West vowed to always support and stand behind Israel, he received a standing ovation. The 23,000 square foot Center will be open to all regardless of affiliation or religious background. Headed by Barash, the facility will be built on University Boulevard, just east of Military Trail and north of Donald Ross Road. A sanctuary, social hall, library, luxurious mikvah spa, preschool, young adult educational wing, kosher kitchen, and gift shop are planned for the 1.5 acre site in the heart of Abacoa's commercial district. To learn more about the Center's new campus or dedication opportunities, visit www.JewishJupiter.com. For more information, contact Rabbi and Sarah Barash at 561-694-6950.
