Camille's Teriyaki Chicken

Camille sent this recipe in a text a few months back and it has been saved in there, so I thought I could finally erase it from my phone if I put it on here!  We had it last night and love it!

1 c. soy sauce
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. garlic salt
1/2 an onion, chopped
4-6 chicken breasts

Put all of the ingredients but chicken into a pot over medium heat until boiling.  Pour over chicken in crock pot.  Cook on low for 6-8 hours.

We have tried it plain but we'll also put it over brown rice and it is really good! (and there is extra sauce you can pour over it!)

  1. I think I'm making this for dinner tomorrow. 1 cup of sugar sounds like so much though! I just discovered your blog and look forward to trying a recipe or two! Thanks!

  2. @Anonymous- I know it seems like a lot. It's kind of a "sweeter" teriyaki chicken . . . the sugar is what probably makes it so delicious! :)
We are happy that you found our blog!

  5. I am waiting for dinner! I am single and so I made it with 2 chicken breasts, and 1/4 c of sugar and soy sauce with 1/2 tsp. of garlic salt and use your judgment on onions.
    Smells yummy already!
