Ufology is defined as the study of the UFO Phenomena and extraterrestrial entities. For clarity, the Institute of Frontier Science will address such phenomena as

Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP)

Dr Richard F. Haines, National Aviation Reporting Center on Anomalous Phenomena (NARCAP) Science Director and former chief of the Space Human Factors Office at NASA Ames Research Center and a former senior research scientist for both NASA and Raytheon, has given the following definition for the term UAP (1980):
"An unidentified aerial phenomenon (UAP) is the visual stimulus that provokes a sighting report of an object or light seen in the sky, the appearance and/or flight dynamics of which do not suggest a logical, conventional flying object and which remains unidentified after close scrutiny of all available evidence by persons who are technically capable of making both a full technical identification as wall as a commonsense identification if one is possible."

Ufology acknowledges that extraordinary and mysterious UAP's exist, they are witnessed, and in some cases these appear to be solid, physical objects under an intelligent control.
Ufology studies such specific phenomena and the intelligences that control them, their sociology, psychology, ethos, history, benefit of all Mankind. Among the expected

beneficiaries of such study would be technology, methods of travel, medicine, conservation sciences, sciences leading to the proper care and guardianship of our planet and its ecosystem, and the peaceful and humble expansion of Humanity throughout the Universe.
The Institute of Frontier Science endeavors to heighten the scientific community's and the general public's awareness not only in the credibility of Ufology as a legitimate science, but to focus awareness on the quality of investigators, historians, and researchers who have dedicated a substantial portion of their lives and their energies to following the trail of secrets using their individual talents and knowledge.
It is undeniably a reality that something is occurring and taking advantage of the native population, the vast resources of this beautiful planet called Earth, and of the region of space we call home. This is apparent in the immensely voluminous sighting reports of aerial vehicles capable of unbelievable flight characteristics and morphology, controlled or piloted and crewed by a people of unknown origin and intention, or of very real seeming entities who interact on some level with Humanity, this planet, and this reality in harmful and malevolent ways. The Ufologist acknowledges this possibility and understands the terrible implications of neglecting the damage being perpetrated, as well as the loss to Humanity in not developing a relationship with any benevolent civilizations which could expand both their own and Humanity's horizons.

The days of Ufology being known as a "fringe" or "pseudo- science" is quickly becoming a relic of the past. Today, more and more scientists are focusing their awesome abilities on understanding that which was once discarded as impossible or myth and legend. Many members of the general public are endeavoring to investigate and understand a phenomena which either raises their enormous curiosity or touches upon an event in their lives or of a loved one which may have

irreparably affected or scarred them. It is in honor of these individuals that the Institute of Frontier Science was conceived and brought to fruition, to further efforts to understand the secrets of the Unidentified Aerial Phenomena and extraterrestrial entity phenomena, and to do so for the betterment and enrichment of all Mankind.
