  • Conmebol, together with the Argentine Football Association (Asociación del Fútbol Argentino - AFA), has defined the cities that shall be hosting the games of the 43rd edition of the Copa America, which shall be held in Argentina next year. In all, eight host cities have been chosen, namely: Buenos Aires, La Plata, Cordoba, Santa Fé, Jujuy, Salta, San Juan e Mendoza.

Curiously, Argentina is the country that has hosted the competition on most occasions (8 times) and also the country that has won most times (14 titles, together with Uruguay). The first edition of the trophy, in 1916, was in Buenos Aires and was won by Uruguay.

In 2011, the Monumental Stadium, the largest in the country with a capacity of almost 58 thousand people, was the venue chosen for the final of the competition, while the opening game shall be held in the Ciudad de La Plata stadium, with a capacity for 53 thousand spectators.
