Houston, TX -- State and FEMA officials announce the opening of Disaster Recovery Centers, Saturday, June 16 at the following locations:

M.O. Campbell Educational Center

Individuals who have already applied for disaster assistance by calling the toll-free application number following the southeast Texas floods may visit any of the Disaster Recovery Centers. At the centers, they will be able to talk face-to-face with representatives from local, state and federal agencies, as well as voluntary agencies.

They can receive information on the status of their claim, obtain answers to questions about assistance programs, get help with their Small Business Administration loan applications and find out which voluntary agencies may be available to offer additional assistance. They may also be able to discuss ways to possibly minimize future losses.

Telephones will be available for those who were unable to register prior to their visit to the centers.

The centers will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. seven days a week until further notice.
