After dropping two in a row, Alabama moved back to even in SEC play with its 62-50 victory over Tennessee. The victory evened the Crimson Tide's conference record at 6-6 and kept alive hopes for a finish in the top four in the league, which is worth a first round bye in the conference tournament. By improving to 17-9 on the season, the Tide also bolstered its hopes for an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament, which at one time seemed like a sure thing until suspensions took out its top two scorers and rebounders in JaMychal Green and Tony Mitchell.
