Retail chain KB Toys has revealed that it will not carry or distribute Rare's 3D action-platformer Conker's Bad Fur Day. The game has received an M rating for animated violence, sexual content and adult language. The decision not to sell the title is based upon its target demographic. Evidently KB, which specializes in toys and videogames for children, felt that the adult targeted Conker's Bad Fur Day was not appropriate for its customer base.

In related news, Nintendo itself has decided to forego the promotion of the game in its official magazine Nintendo Power for exactly the same reasons. The publication will not cover the title in any way, not even to review it.

Conker has, however, been marketed significantly to the older demographic, with featured ads and promotions in such magazines as Maxim and Playboy.
