Jon Walters celebrated a great week by scoring his first hat-trick in League football as Blues hit Bristol City for six.
The wideman followed up his call-up for the Republic of Ireland B team for their friendly against Scotland with a treble in Town's 6-0 win - which was a seventh home victory this season and the 11th in succession in total.
It was also Town's record win under Jim Magilton's management and the biggest since the 6-0 win over Nottingham Forest in March 2005.
"It's my first hat-trick and it couldn't have gone any better really," Jon, who has one U21 cap for the Republic of Ireland, told the Club website.
"I was getting space down the right and could have scored before I did if my finishing had been better.
"The team played really well from the first whistle and we started both halves strongly and that gave us the platform to build on.
"With the Ireland call-up, it's been a great few days for me and hopefully I can go away with the Republic and take my chance if it comes along. I'm not sure whether I am going as a midfielder or a striker though!"
