Jon Walters has pledged his future to Town by signing a new contract that will keep him at Portman Road until 2011.

The 24-year-old striker has been the subject of reported Premiership interest this season after an impressive first half of the campaign that has brought him nine goals.

But Jon, who joined Town from Chester just over a year ago, has put pen to paper on a new deal with Town boss Jim Magilton telling the Club website: "It's great news for Jon and great news for the Club.

"He has been terrific for us this season and has shown a great work ethic and determination.

"He has a real hunger to improve and his new contract is reward for what he has achieved since he joined us."
