Rare's GoldenEye, long one of the favorite games of N64 owners and game critics alike, won first place at this year's BAFTA Interactive Entertainment Awards in London last week.

GoldenEye beat out GT Interactive's Oddworld and Grolier's V2000 to win in the Best Computer Game category. Rare also won one of two "special" UK awards, and was named Best UK Developer. Sony's Gran Turismo deservedly won the Computer Programming Award.

All in all, 13 awards were given at the yearly event, which was held at the Intercontinental Hotel in London. Winners were selected from a total of 534 submitted entries.
