I'd say free DLC included is pretty exciting.

Any content that someone had to pay for that you can get for free is pretty exciting.

@Wiizer if you want to cll it free thats fine i guess. I can go out and buy ME2 for less than 30 bucks and all the dlc for less than 60.

so...not impressive. cool that playstation ppl get to play, but not the celebration everyone was buying streamers for when the news was released this past weekend.

Most who bought the 360 version bought it on day 1 and then paid extra for the DLCs. Only a few are buying it now at a reduced price. Btw, buying it at reduced price plus the DLCs comes up to pretty much the same price as buying the PS3 version. Think.

Same here. My 360 Red Ringed a few months ago and I've missed out on all of the DLC.

So now instead of buying a new 360 I'm just going to get this version! I hope the interactive comic holds up.

Yeah I own (well DID own) both systems. I have a ton of 360 games so hopefully I'll get another one sometime in the future. Until then I'll be gaming on the much neglected PS3.

I bet my PS3 secretly killed my 360 so I would play it more often. Well played PS3...well played.

Yeah, I'm happy that my PS3 brethren get to play and experience this game, but must admit it felt like a slap in the face for someone like me who bought the game on launch - for them to have exclusive DLC. Now, everyone is happy.

@BlackedOut It sounds like the exclusive DLC is a package of all the weapon packs that are already on the 360/PC.

There's a quote in the article from someone at Bioware saying "While I can't go into details, all of this content is or was available to Xbox/PC owners".

@BlackedOut They don't have exclusive DLC...everything available to them is available to us.

I'm fine with it. Bought it day one. On my second playthrough, and I'll be getting the Shadow Broker DLC with my 800 MS points from that October deal. Don't feel ripped off at all.

Also glad my PS3-having bro will be able to finally play it.

@BlackedOut I don't really see it as a big deal considering people who just own a PS3 have had to wait for a year to play it. (Of course since I own both consoles I don't care if something is exclusive.)

@Faceless Troll If they were getting exclusive content, it would be kind of a big deal for those of us who bought the game when it first came out not being able to access that content because we didn't wait for the PS3 version.

That said, PS3 players did wait a year so I have no problems with them getting the DLC for free or even a new piece of DLC for free as long as I have the option to buy it for the platform that I already purchased the game on.

@Mcmax3000 Except it's not a big deal. As someone who did purchase it new, I don't really care if PS3 owners got some minor extra content (even though they're not). Generally such exclusives are minor and at best.

@Faceless Troll At the end of the day, it would depend on the content. If it was something on the level of the Shadow Broker DLC, I'd say that would be a big deal as that DLC seems as though it will be pretty important to the overall Mass Effect story. If it was something minor like new weapons, armor etc or even a new self contained mission that didn't effect the story, then it wouldn't be a big deal (though still annoying if it was more gameplay).

@BlackedOut Welcome to 2010 when there are DLC exclusives or at least timed exclusives especially on the 360 side of things, like dead rising fallout GTA etc. . So I wouldn't exactly call it a slap in the face when the PS3 actually gets something that isn't 360 exclusive.

@noyesa I'd say that's why they're giving PS3 owners the 3 DLC packs on the disk to make up for the price. It's like getting guaranteed DLC sales.

I'm glad to read this news. I was fearing that there would be a bunch of PS3 exclusive content and as someone who already has the game on the 360, I didn't want to have to purchase the game again to get all of the content.

For anybody that has a PS3 and not a 360, I highly recommend picking this one up when it's released. It's still easily one of my favourite games of the year without question.

After that multiplayer rumour a while ago I've been looking to get my character off the 360 before ME3 arrives (No Gold you see). The lack of Wrex on the PS3 version kind of put me off, but this seems like we can expect to see him after all.

Put me down for one.

@Vorbis Damn. I guess I missed that. I really don't think I'd touch a multiplayer mode, but I guess they can make it. My guess is it might be a stand alone, like Halo Wars was or something. (Not saying it would be an RTS, just that Halo Wars is separate from the Master Chief story.)

But, huh?

" This will give you instant access to the same great lineup of Downloadable Content such as Zaeed and Firewalker."

Does this mean you still have to pay for a couple of DLCs like these mentioned? Quite an unclear statement :(.

@Fillem Those two DLC are the ones that came free courtesy of the Cerberus network. If you don't buy the game new, you have to purchase access to the Cerberus network. Yeah it's kind of confusing. IF you buy the new game, it looks like you won't have to buy anything else unless they come out with additional DLC...

@Noksukow It looks like the only cerberus stuff will be Zaeed and firewalker...so not too bad. But still why wouldn't you buy it new if it's just coming out? Gamestop only marks stuff down like 5 bucks when they sell it used.

same train here, whenever Mass Effect 3 comes out I'd most likely get it for the PS3, since I don't like the whole Disc Swapping on 360, thats If it comes out on ps3 at launch, and whenever I have extra cash laying around, damn fall releases..

How can you not like the disk swapping, it happens twice and the you spend 99% of the game on the single disk.

As far as disk swapping goes, it's one of the best ones yet. If you wanna hate on disk swapping, go bark up Squeenix's door with SO4.

Anyone that only owns a PS3, seriously, pick this up. Not just one of the best games of the year, but one of my favourite games this gen, and those DLC missions included are absolutely fantastic. Yes, it sucks that you don't get to play the first ME, but Bioware's doing all they can to get you up to speed on the story and you still get to make some big decisions this way. They didn't need to include this extra content, but they are putting in the effort for the fans and for those that want to get into this amazing universe. Nice work, Bioware!

not a fan of either but the original was a lil better. Mass Effect 2 is a must buy [for either console], even if the box art is blah

theres no substitute for playing Mass Effect tho: beating the citadel [yes. it has to be defeated] takes time, reading about it doesnt count
