WikiProject Cleanup is a resource for Wikipedia cleanup information and discussion. Cleanup issues that this project covers may include wikification, spelling, grammar, typographical errors, tone, and sourcing. All users are welcome to help in editing or fixing any page on these lists. Please remember to remove the appropriate tag(s) off the page after cleaning an article, then strike-out the entry using <s> </s>, which produces: (sample text). This retains the listing for historical reference regarding accomplishments of the project. Please also document improvements on an article's talk page for the reference of other editors.

For comprehensive lists of pages requiring cleanup, which are automatically generated from the {{cleanup}} banners placed on articles, please refer to:

for older articles with issues that have not been dealt with in some time, refer to:

If you've arrived at this page from a link on a {{cleanup}} template that someone placed on an article, it most likely was because the article does not meet one or more of Wikipedia's standards on content and style. Try reading Wikipedia:Writing better articles to get a sense of what Wikipedia's standards are. The advice on that page should help editors to effectively clean up any article.

Information on the cleanup process may be found at Wikipedia:Cleanup process. Other resources may be found at Wikipedia:Cleanup resources and Wikipedia:Template messages/Cleanup, for help on posting problems with Wikipedia pages, or to use as a guide.

Please place new posts at the top of the list.

April

  • Ike & Tina Turner- I tagged this a while back as having multiple issues, the templates have been removed but it's not much better as far as I can see. Sloppily written and poorly researched with barely any citations. I stand by my comments in the talk section Kaleeyed (talk) 11:30, 5 April 2012 (UTC)
  • Cassette culture - Needs some work. Kaleeyed (talk) 12:11, 5 April 2012 (UTC)
  • Solomon Burke - How long have you got? Going to be a Herculean task this one, it really needs hacking back and surplus information moving to other articles. It's out of control. Kaleeyed (talk) 12:15, 5 April 2012 (UTC)

March

  • Burton upon Trent I just looked at this article and did a bit of rearranging, but I think it's struggling a bit and could do with some help. This could be a really great article but at the moment it's pretty weakly written and lacks some research. Thought I'd draw some people's attention to it. Kaleeyed (talk) 18:11, 29 March 2012 (UTC)
  • UK miners' strike (1984–1985) – This article is full of OR/POV and unsourced sections and statements. There seems to be a massive left-wing bias in this article and I feel it needs thorough scrutiny. Thank you. Christian1985 (talk) 21:58, 23 March 2012 (UTC)
  • Anticuchos – No references. Would benefit from copy-editing and better organization.
  • Anti-social behaviour – Could use copy-editing for cohesion and to clean-up grammatical choppiness. Needs more references.
  • Cabinet of Bangladesh – “Functions” section in list format; would benefit from conversion to prose. Only one reference, and no inline citations.
  • Hair museum – Needs expansion; has seven listed sources that could be used to expand the article with inline citations.
  • K L University – Article would benefit from copy-editing for cohesion; prose is choppy. References section needs copy-editing. Article needs more inline citations
  • Madison Symmetric Torus – Article has only one reference, would benefit from copy-editing, and may contain original research. The article would also benefit from some reduction and better summarization of techincal information. Bare URLs need cleaning-up.
  • Occupy Ottawa – Needs more references and inline citations. Could use better organization and copy-editing for cohesion. Currently has no images.
  • Pan-American Conference – Tables need layout formatting and clean-up. Only has one reference/inline citation. No assigned WikiProjects on talk page.
  • Salal Hydroelectric Power Station – Primarily in list format; conversion to prose would improve the article. References section needs copy-editing. Needs inline citations.
  • Ukrainian culture – Art section is very long, somewhat choppy, would benefit from copy-editing and formatting. Other areas are also choppy; consolidation of information into paragraphs would be an improvement. Article has many empty sections that need to be populated with sourced information. Bare URLs need cleaning up. Needs more references and inline citations.

 – I've done some preliminary clean-up to the page's layout and added the "expert attention requested" template. Northamerica1000(talk) 04:11, 16 March 2012 (UTC)

February

  • The Sopranos: The whole article is unbelievably laboured throughout. Extent of content in Info' box has been discussed previously, and has been debated extensively but to no avail, thanks to the aggressive participation of non-registered IPs. Suggest partial protection before attempting editing on this article. A project on which I would then be more than pleased to participate.
--- Gareth Griffith-Jones (talk) 11:34, 25 February 2012 (UTC)
Have you tried requesting protection at WP:RFPP? -- œ 02:04, 27 February 2012 (UTC)

────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────I have just put in a request for Temporary semi-protection. I should like to thank El duderino, and everyone else who has helped on The Sopranos since 25 February 2012 (UTC)--- Gareth Griffith-Jones (talk) 10:45, 10 March 2012 (UTC)

The Sopranos (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs)
Indefinite semi-protection:
Persistent sockpuppetry. Repeated deletion of sourced material by new editors. Persistent vandalism. I have had help from the Wikipedia:Cleanup Project (since February 25) and I should welcome your help in maintaining this article. Thank you, Gareth Griffith-Jones (talk) 11:06, 10 March 2012 (UTC)
Declined – Not enough recent disruptive activity to justify protection. Jayjg (talk) 03:36, 11 March 2012 (UTC)

 – The link China National Tea Museum is functional as of the time of this post. Northamerica1000(talk) 10:40, 5 March 2012 (UTC)
  • Rail transport in Russia – Lede is short. Tagged for tone and neutrality issues. Information could be better-organized into sections and subsections.
  • Rail transport in Queensland – Lede is very short. Much content is in list format; conversion to prose may benefit the article. Additional inline citations are needed.
  • Bank of Hawaii – History section is very choppy, could use organization and consolidation into paragraphs. Most of the article is within its "History" section; better organization with new sections may be an improvement. Much of the content is missing inline citations.
 – Added lede to the article. Northamerica1000(talk) 18:45, 27 February 2012 (UTC)
  • Quarantine technology – Unreferenced. Citations and clarification needed. Primarily in list format; conversion to prose may be an improvement. Article tagged as providing insufficient context.
  • Duane Hagadone – Lede is very short. List formatting could use conversion to prose.
  • Halton Hills Public Library – Some sections are very long without any inline citations, could use some reduction. Article has no inline citations. "Assets" section could use rewriting to clarify the content.
  • Hai Sing Catholic School – Prose is choppy, much of the article is in list format, which may be better as prose. The verifiability of the article is tagged as disputed. Unreferenced as of this post.

*Jeanie Johnston - "Personal communication" as a reference. Would someone please look at (and probably revert) this edit of Jeanie Johnston [1] I would explain that <ref>{{Personal communication, Aiseanna Mara Teoranta}}</ref> is not acceptable, (and it is tagged as such), but in the light of the reason given for the changes: (I reverted some of user Lugnad's changes, as he or she deleted withouth comment several unfavourable, but researched and sourced facts about the ship. Also fixed some typos.) It might be better received from someone other than I. Just to add, I have no idea what changes of mine are being referred to. Thanks, Lugnad (talk) 11:34, 9 February 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for responding Lugnad (talk) 18:31, 10 February 2012 (UTC)
I've chopped the pers. comm. ref and claim. Bet it comes back. Chiswick Chap (talk) 13:51, 12 March 2012 (UTC)
  • Football hooliganism – Could use some copy editing. Some sections need more references. Some of the references need better formatting. The article would benefit from some of the information being condensed. Northamerica1000(talk) 06:44, 9 February 2012 (UTC)
  • Stormworld – The article has significant lists that could be changed to prose. Could use more references. Could use images. Northamerica1000(talk) 06:31, 9 February 2012 (UTC)
  • Open University of Sudan - An user that seems to be related to this university added lots of content. First I've rollbacked it, than I've replaced and fixed it as a minor layout copyedit. All this content is related to this university and may be useful but I still have the doubt that it's wroten as a sort of Brochure. --Dэя-Бøяg 21:23, 4 February 2012 (UTC)
 – Information very likely copied and pasted, or written verbatim per University literature has been removed. The article is now a stub. Northamerica1000(talk) 08:00, 23 February 2012 (UTC)

January

  • 1984 in organized crime – No lede section. Empty "births" section. Unreferenced. Needs more references. Would benefit from summaries preceding the list information in its sections.
 – Added a lede sentence. Northamerica1000(talk) 13:57, 10 March 2012 (UTC)
  • Early classical guitar recordings – No lede section. Some of the content in the "History of early classical guitar recordings" section may be better rewritten in a list format.
 – Added a lede sentence. Northamerica1000(talk) 16:03, 10 March 2012 (UTC)
  • Eco Marine Power – An article about a company that develops and markets environmentally friendly power and propulsion systems for ships and other vessels. The article is tagged as written like an advertisement, could use some rewriting. I added a few references to the article, which could be used for more inline citations.
  • Economy of Cuba – The "Public Facilities" and "Other statistics" sections are entirely in list format. Article could use more inline citations, references.

2011

December

  • List of UNICEF Goodwill Ambassadors - There are multiple instances of vandalism/unsourced material on this page, much of which has been there for months (particularly in the United States section, along with others). The article certainly needs to be wikified and clarified. I am requesting rollbacks on multiple edits since at least March 2011 that are either blatant vandalism or unreferenced contribution. I do not want to delete edits seeing as most are easily revertable or controversial. Thanks in advance. RoyalMate1 18:32, 17 December 2011 (UTC)
  • Shaw's play Arms and the Man. I found a lot of garbage, which I deleted. However that left the "plot" section incomplete. Also poorly reference. If you can repair bad edits, do have a look. Lugnad (talk) 01:53, 3 December 2011 (UTC)
 – Article currently has 13 inline citations. Northamerica1000(talk) 14:26, 10 March 2012 (UTC)

November

Added a lead. WylieCoyote (talk) 11:41, 21 November 2011 (UTC)

October

  • Bannari Amman Group – Several cleanup matters, including the article being primarily in list format, possible copy/paste copyvio problems, and needing the addition of internal links. Northamerica1000(talk) 05:24, 22 October 2011 (UTC)
  • Academic degree – Contains extensive information that's informative, but lacking references. "Netherlands" section tagged for "wikification". Northamerica1000(talk) 05:12, 22 October 2011 (UTC)
 – The article has been improved as of this post, still needs some copy editing for cohesion, more inline citations. Northamerica1000(talk) 15:50, 9 February 2012 (UTC)
  • Paravakkalvery sloppy-written article, has multiple issues, including: it is unwikified, uncategorized, no sources... Alex discussion 11:33, 15 October 2011 (UTC)
 – Article has been wikified and has categories Northamerica1000(talk) 06:50, 22 October 2011 (UTC)
 – Article currently has two sources, and another editor has cleaned up the grammar. The article could use more sources. Northamerica1000(talk) 14:19, 10 March 2012 (UTC)
  • Julio Castillo Narváez – notable by the murder event, needs apply of wiki formatting and some other issues presents as well. Alex discussion 21:02, 14 October 2011 (UTC)
  • Brian Camelio - Started cleaning up the article. So far I focused on the first sentence and on finding reliable sources for that sentence. Beyond that, there is plenty of information for which no source is provided. --Edcolins (talk) 18:58, 7 October 2011 (UTC)
  • Neely Traditional Academy - Very little information. Needs to either be expanded or merged. Larsona 14:35, 5 October 2011 (UTC) Send me a message at my discussion page
 – Note: Neely Traditional Academy has been merged and redirected to Gilbert Public Schools. Northamerica1000(talk) 08:56, 9 February 2012 (UTC)

September

August

  • Air Jordan - This is a really problematic article that receives constant unsourced edits from IPs and new editors, as well as frequent vandalism. It's been tagged for cleanup for years now. I'm tired of keeping it on my watchlist so I'm dumping the link here hoping someone wants to adopt it. -- œ 14:33, 5 August 2011 (UTC)
  • Floridablanca, Pampanga - This article is very messy and includes un-sourced material, vandalism, no categories, and more. It would be good if other editors can edit this article to make it more cleaner. -- Luke Talk 00:53, 7 August 2011 (UTC)
Ew. You're right that article sure was smelly.. Looks like some IP editor was doing a copypaste job.. I reverted back to an earlier semi-stable version but the article still needs a lot of work. -- œ 11:27, 7 August 2011 (UTC)
 – Article currently has one inline citation; needs more. It appears to be in better shape at this time. Northamerica1000(talk) 15:51, 10 March 2012 (UTC)
  • Dolores Park - The Geography and Territories section seems to be full of "inside jokes." There are no citations in this section.
  • Frankford Middle School - contains unnecessary details such as a description of the locations of the hallways. Contains unimportant graduates of the school. I have no knowledge of this school however. --Vzomg (talk) 21:40, 19 August 2011 (UTC)
  • Manhunt (military) -- This is so bad, it makes me blush. The issues are simply too vast in this structure-less, unfocused, botched article. --Cerejota (talk) 15:13, 21 August 2011 (UTC)

July

May

  • Green-water navy – This article is wrong on so many levels. To start with, the list of green-water navies by alphabetical order has about 5 navies in it, the list probably shouldn't be there at all, as it would list every single navy in the world, bar four. Also globalsecurity.org doesn't seem like a very reliable source. On another angle, the style is rather rubbish as well. Took a look. Eeesh. Most of what would help clear up issue is already said in the Blue Water Navy article. So, not sure how to approach this.... Cynthisa (talk) 15:23, 28 December 2011 (UTC)

April

  • Ruby character#HTML Ruby markup This section is at least a year out of date, and probably several. Ruby markup is included as part of the HTML5 specification, which most major browsers now support (for instance, the Ruby markup on the page renders fine in Google Chrome), but the article claims that most major browsers do not support Ruby markup. --STUART (talk) 20:17, 1 April 2011 (UTC)
  • John Frederick Nelson

March

  • Debits and credits This article was previously tagged (April 2009) though has not received any attention from an expert on clean-up since then. I have been trying my best to make it more appropriate though advice and help would be appreciated. The content in this article is considered to be of elevated importance for clean-up especially since the topic is directly related to a financial science Sweetmat (talk) 09:04, 9 March 2011 (UTC)
  • Mazatlán is an important city in Mexico and should have a high quality article written about it. The current article has a lot of repetition and very little sourcing. Basically, this article is unacceptable for the city it is about. I may recommend completely overhauling it and starting over. -- Gopats92talk 00:54, 23 March 2011 (UTC)

February

  • Kelvin McKenzie This article desperately needs a major clean-up. I have removed large paragrapghs of inaccuarate POV nonsense. But there is still plenty of POV, unsourced or OR material. I would appreciate a thorough clean-up. Thank You. Christian1985 (talk) 14:43, 25 February 2011 (UTC)
  • Indian Accounting Standards This article lacks a clear structure and desperately needs a major clean-up. I would appreciate a thorough clean-up.Karthikndr (talk) 14:21, 28 February 2011 (UTC)

January

  • Adolphe Thiers Much of the article has been copied directly from the 19th century editions of the Encyclopedia Britannica, and is extremely biased. Jackiespeel (talk) 17:37, 27 January 2011 (UTC)
