A parent of a Pilgrim High School student who first reported the incident to WPRO's John DePetro Show. The mural was meant to depict the life of a man and it ended with the scene with the man, woman and a child. The student artist, 17-year-old Liz Bierendy, said that she depicted the man and woman has married with wedding rings. According to Horoshacks press release the scene was painted over because some of the members of the Pilgrim High Schoolcommunity suggested that the depiction of a young mans development from boyhood through adulthood as displayed may not represent the life experiences of many of the students at
According to the release, the assistant principal approached the Bierendy after the concern was raised from the school and asked her to look at other ways to show the outcome of the subjects progression to adulthood.
After consulting other administrators, Superintendent Horoschak asked the assistant principal to meet with the student again and discuss her views on the proposed changes to the mural. The assistant principal reported that the student preferred the original idea however she would take the weekend to think about any changes to the original sketch. Horoschak asked that the Bierendys ideas be respected and that she be allowed to finish the mural as she visualized it.

How deplorable is the state of the world!
How evil the state has become for the sake
of "tolerance" saying evil is now good. Persecuting those who rightly uphold the natural law written upon ALL mens hearts.
"Wherefore God gave them up to the desires of their heart, unto uncleaness, to dishonor their own bodies among themselves. Who changed the truth of God into a lie; and worshipped and served the creature, rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen." Romans 1:24-25

I don't know why anyone would want to send their children to school nowadays. What nonsense.
Teach kids their fathers' trade and leave it at that. That's better than handing them over to a "school" system where they can't express themselves freely.

Gee, I wonder how people came about in the old, outdated days of husband, wife and children which was the norm. Now it's accept another lifestyle or be banned as a bigot and hate monger or even worse be arrested and incarcerated.
Constitutional freedoms out of the window and constitutional her-icy.

What ever happened to freedom of speech in this country? Is speech now only "free" when it agrees with the powers that be?
