ExCeL is the largest competition venue at the London 2012 Games. It is made up of different five arenas, each of which will host a different sport at London 2012.

Weightlifters put chalk on their hands to help them grip the bar.
The press lift, in which the bar is lifted from the chest, was used in Olympic competition until Munich 1972.
The bodyweights of competitors are used to break ties – the lifter who weighs less wins.
There will be 1630 discs for the Weightlifting competition ranging in weight from 0.5kg to 25kg.
