UGA President announces retirement
University of Georgia President Michael F. Adams informed the campus today that he will step down as president at the conclusion of the next fiscal year. At the end of his 16 years in office on June 30, 2013, Adams will stand fifth in length of service among the university's 21 presidents, tied with founding president Abraham Baldwin.

The Georgia Museum of Art, in collaboration with Judith Ortiz Cofer's Advanced creative writing class, will offer “Painted Words” on May 4 from 7-8 p.m. in the M. Smith Griffith auditorium. Creative writing students will read from works based on individual pieces from the GMOA collection.
UGA baseball team play Auburn in a three-game series
The UGA men’s baseball team will meet the University of Auburn in a triple-header weekend at Foley Field. Games will be play May 4 at 7 p.m., May 5 at 4 p.m. and May 6 at 2 p.m.
Stadion Classic continues, supports scholarships
Play continues through May 6 at the UGA golf course for the Stadion Golf Tournament, a stop on the PGA Nationwide Tour. The university is serving as one of the major leaders of the tournament, and proceeds will support needs-based scholarships through the UGA Foundation.
