Feedback Fort Wayne

On behalf of Mayor Tom Henry, welcome to Feedback Fort Wayne. The strength of our city is found in the people of Fort Wayne. Join the conversation as we work together to make Fort Wayne a place where good jobs can grow, businesses can prosper, talent can blossom, and families can thrive.

To get started, search to see if your idea has already been submitted. If it has, you can show your support by voting for it. If your idea is new, submit it for others to discuss.

Name Our Building

We are one community, and our commitment to building a more attractive and competitive Fort Wayne and Allen County was strengthened with the decision to bring nearly all City and County government together in two downtown buildings. Co-location is about using our resources wisely, making things easier for residents and sending a welcoming message to new jobs and business investment by creating a one-stop shop for economic growth.

Here’s the plan: Both the City and County police departments will be headquartered in the existing City-County Building, with 200 East Berry Street becoming our new administrative, neighborhood and development hub.

What should the community call the new government building at 200 E Berry?

        • Chief Little Turtle Center

Little Turtle or Mishikinakwa (c. 1747 – July 14, 1812) was a chief of the Miami tribe, and one of the most successful Native American military leaders of his era. He led his followers in several victories over the United States in the 1790s, but was an advocate for peace with the U.S. in the years leading up to the War of 1812.

          • Heritage Square

Dedicate the facility in honor of both General Anthony Wayne & Colonel John Allen, with statues of both in front of the building or busts of them in the lobby. By doing this, we would honor both Wayne and Allen which takes care of Fort Wayne & Allen county.

              • The Anthony Wayne Government Center

Since the Fort Wayne and Allen Co. area both share a rich heritage from the late 1700’s and Early 1800’s especially from General Anthony Wayne I like the name of “THE WAYNE GOVERNMENT CENTER” or “THE ANTHONY WAYNE GOVERNMENT CENTER” You could move the General’s statue and horse to the front of the building.

                      • The Rudisill Center

Henry Rudisill was hired in 1830 to lead the development of Fort Wayne and over three decades he surveyed, parceled and developed the community. He founded two churches, created the town's first grist mill, led the local militia and held numerous public offices. He was responsible for bringing a steady stream of immigrants here from German and other parts of central Europe.

                            • Kekionga Center

Kekionga was the capital of the Miami tribe at the confluence of the Saint Joseph, Saint Marys and Maumee rivers in present day Fort Wayne. It became the site of several French, British and American forts and trading posts. Kekionga also had a large meeting house, where official councils were held. Little Turtle, in a speech at the Treaty of Greenville (1795), called Kekionga "that glorious gate... through which all the good words of our chiefs had to pass from the north to the south, and from the east to the west.
