Cardiff City have this evening reached an agreement with Portsmouth FC for the loan signing of Liam Lawrence until the end of the current season.

Republic of Ireland international midfielder Lawrence, 30, has made fifty six appearances for Pompey since his initial loan from stoke in September 2010, the move being made permanent the following January. During his time at Fratton Park to date he has scored eight goals, though is known more for his ability to create chances for team-mates. Prior to joining Stoke Liam played for Sunderland and Mansfield.

The loan deal runs until the end of May and would include any possible play-off games if required. More info and reaction to follow.
