Reflections
Until recently, the Arab world was the focus of all media.
We have seen massive upheavals in large parts of the Arab world and we strongly believe that it is high time for fair and balanced analysis to illustrate the many narratives that inform any issue.
Not only that. Now media attention has shifted away – toward the quake and tsunami in Japan, and the Champions League in Europe. Why is that? Of course time marches on and new events - of global importance - occur, which can and do change our lives.
The glaring truth is becoming ever more obvious: The world needs a new platform for global and supra-regional issues that covers the various political and geographical perspectives, that identifies upcoming themes in advance, and supplies background and insight for events already ongoing.
We believe it is high time. Come and join us.
Let us be the good guys who foster transparency and understanding throughout the world, instead of myopic “event-hopping”.
