Best Buy Survey Outs $1,500 Apple HDTV

Major retailer reaches out to customers about the iTV.

A survey from Best Buy has reached some of the retailer's customers, courtesy of The Verge, that makes direct reference to an Apple-branded HDTV and its features.

Apple's iOS was mentioned, and would allow users to purchase and stream movies through an internet connection by way of iTunes, Netflix and YouTube. Apps and iCloud are also present, as well as the ability to navigate around the device with an iPad or iPhone, all things we would expect from the purported iTV.

The only portion of the survey that doesn't vibe well with Apple is reference to an iSight camera and Skype, as opposed to the company's FaceTime HD camera and FaceTime video chat service.

The questionaire prices the television at $1,499 for a 42-inch model, placing it somewhere along the mid- to high-end spectrum of comparable Smart TVs.

While this may just be Best Buy gauging customer interest should the device become reality, signs are hinting towards a very strong possibility that the new Apple TV is the real deal.
