Cardiff City and Shrewsbury Town have reached an agreement to see Aaron Wildig remain at the League Two promotion hopefuls until the end of the season.

Aaron has impressed during his loan spell so far, with Shrews boss Graham Turner saying, "He will stay with us for the rest of the season now after Cardiff agreed to an extended loan. He's got good ability, a good appreciation of the game of football. He sees a pass and generally executes it quite well.

"He started for us at Newport in the FA Cup, he was in the side that beat Northampton 7-2 and then in the side which beat Morecambe, but unfortunately towards the end of that game he picked up an injury and he's not had a look in since. Lionel Ainsworth's been in there, Jon Taylor more recently, and Aaron's a different sort of player but one that can add something between now and the end of the season."
