3) To provide continuous professional development (CPD) opportunities for those involved in learning & development.
4) To provide a means by which they can work collaboratively and in partnership in respect of learning & development initiatives for the benefit of the industry as a whole.

Learning & Development Network Event
In 2011, a long awaited milestone was been met for the parking
sector in the launch of the suite of parking management qualifications
at levels 3, 4 and 5. Now in 2012, the new level-2 parking enforcement
officer qualification will also be available and this will see the
introduction of pathways for enforcement on private land, enforcement
under RTRA '84 and parking and traffic enforcement using CCTV, as well
as the existing civil enforcement officer pathway.
To help embed these qualifications in the sector, the BPA hosted an L&D Network event
in Febuary 2012 for the sector's learning and development
professionals. This included speakers from both City & Guilds and
Asset Skills to provide an overview of these qualifications and the
proposed UK Academy for Parking.
