What is Best Buy's policy on Harassment & a hostile work environment? I think it's inappropriate for my co worker to ask me why I'm so slow. I immediately changed the subject cause it bothered me so much. I also felt be-little, when printing out the planograms, Jason, my co worker, telling me, now, I don't want to overwhelm you. He is constantly hounding me on what plano I'm on, how far along I am, when I will be done, & how many have I completed. It's to the point I try to avoid him. He checks what I type in Wiki & the action center. I feel like he is spying on me. He even whined, you still aren't on the same plano are you. I was already done with it. Jason is not my boss. I also find it odd That Jason has been at 142 for 3 straight weeks. He changes stores a lot. Jason was also there the time I broke down. I feel Steven is hoping I have another episode, which is my Jason is suddenly at store 142.
I hate going to work. The past two sun days I got about 2 hrs of sleep
This is not good for my disability & makes it worse. I also have high blood pressure. I passed out at work in 08 & was rushed to ER. I'm sure it's been documented. As you well know, being overly stressed & high blood pressure can be a deadly combination. My blood pressure is under control as of know due to medication I'm taking for it.
Working in a hostile environment & being harassed in the work place is against the law & is not in the best interest of this company.
Steven never did change me over to 142 as he said he would to order signs. I did find out on my own I could edit it myself. Too bad management (Steven) never had the courteous to tell me this. He told me I displayed the wrong Home Theater system in a box which I dispute. & claimed others put up the correct model. I did check & it was the same model I put up. The box reads 570 watts, but it's actually 670 watts. SKU is the same. There were 2 in stock. Status said deleted, but they were new. I put out one on display, & the other is top stocked. He also said I didn't put out the price tags for the plano when I did. I printed tags for the plano & put them out. I been at Best Buy for 6 yrs, my former GM gave me a 5 for job performance. Being a awful worker after joining the PT makes no sense. This was also the first time I did this plano for speakers & subs. I wanted to get additional experience.
It's odd that most of the speakers & subs were not connected, but It's my responsibility to connect them all. Why isn't the store held accountable. He also complained that I didn't take off one 2 FT shelf on a plano I did. Thing is, if a manager wanted it there, it would have stayed there, so why he was upset I don't understand. I just got a lecture. I did plug in the speakers on the first two rows, but I guess they didn't turn on according to Steven.
He checks on my past plano's to knit pick & tell me what I have done wrong. Is he doing this to every employee? Or am I just being singled out. As I stated in my documentation, I feel he wants me to look incompetent to get rid of me. He is building a case against me. & singling out an employee is against Best Buy policy.
& on a over nighter he claimed the tool box was lost or stolen. We were all written up. It was found the next day. Rush to Judgment? No apology? Why is this on my record when the tool box was never lost or stolen?
Also, Steven was upset that me & Jurgen didn't get a piece of equipment locked up. Jason told me it was a shrink issue. Jurgen just told me it needed to be Devo out. Jason said Steven was very angry, but he didn't take care of it. He put it back in the cabinet knowing it was possible shrink. Not a sign of a good manager. If one of your employees drops the ball so to speak, it's up to the manager to take care of it. Steven did nothing.
Working on the over nighters I found out that Steven has a reputation for having a short temper. Jason told me that Steven can be 'intense.' I was told by Justin when we were in Blossom Hill, that he tore down a Project Team members plano, saying, what the **** is this ****. Again, not becoming of a manager to curse at his employee.
Steven cherry picks which questions to answer. During our last one on one he didn't answer many of my questions or concerns. I just got dirty looks to the questions he didn't answer. What is the policy of traveling to another store when you are already on the clock.
During one of our over nighters Steven talked about having some of us going to 142 to help out. Is driving to another store while on the clock against Best Buy policy? Would Best Buy be held liable if an employee was injured while driving on the clock? This didn't happen. I just want to know what Best Buys policy is on the matter. & if it is against Best Buy policy you need to ask Steven why he brought it up.
Another member told me that Steven had his team work a 20hr shift in SF a while back. Isn't that against the law?
I sent Steven nice emails. I told him his review of my was unbiased & professional. I got no reply. When we had a conference call one member was whistling while Steven was talking. I emailed Steven saying that the whistling was annoying & disrespectful. I got no reply. I thanked Steven for staying calm when he was telling me about the things I 'didn't do properly.' No email.
The budget for the time being spent is flawed. It doesn't take into account complications, other problems & the persons experience. It took Steven 3 hrs to finish the musical instrument plano cause there were many problems. The minutes for this plano is less. If it takes Steven that long imagine how long it would take someone with less experience.
I think the Project team needs to be investigated. I was told that while doing work in Hawaii you had members urinating out of cars & 'mooning' people out of cars among other vile behavior. I have names of the people who told me this. They need to realize they represent Best Buy & need to act accordingly & be on their best behavior. This was before Steven.
Did you tell Steven about the rubber band accident? Cause it was a daily routine when I was doing over nighters on Ryans. I was even hit once from behind. To be fair to Steven, I didn't see any rubber band shooting last week when he was at 142 doing a over nighter with the project team.
These issues are serious. They deal with my health & disability, & possible illegalities on stevens part. I have been a model employee at Best Buy for over 6 years. Then all of a sudden I join the Project team & become a totally screw up, who is totally incompetent. Sorry, that doesn't add up. It's called lack of communication & poor training which falls on the feet of Steven, As I stated prior. My last GM gave me a 5 for job performance. You know very well, getting a 5 is very rare. I always performed well in all my job duties at Best Buy.
I did it hands on training doing over nighters on Ryans team, but I was never given hands on training for security devices which is what I asked for, & they know that.
