The first screenshots of Splinter Cell: Blacklist, Ubisoft's next title in the hit franchise, have appeared on the internet ahead of the Ubisoft Press Conference.

Sam Fisher is back, and he is sporting his trademark Green Night Vision Goggles. The screenshots shown are set in a war-torn middle-eastern country called Mirawa, and inside an enemy compound to be precise. It also appears to have a holographic projection of the locations and objectives, similiar to that of the previous game, Conviction, and the more recent Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. It's defintely the new trend.

It is broad daylight, and Fisher is shown in several of the pictures wielding an assault rifle for going loud, a silenced pistol for sneaking around, and a Combat Knife for brutal close quarters combat. Plenty of options to do your bidding.

At a technical standpoint, the graphics look extremely impressive, showing life-like facial detail and beautiful environments. It is the best looking Splinter Cell game to date, without a doubt.
