BULGARIA IN A PUBLICATION ABOUT SUSTAINABLE CHANGE

Bulgaria has been cited as a model in creating new jobs and supporting local business in least developed areas. Fort the first time, our country has been included in an international publication about “sustainable change” . The Publication is entitled Empowering Lives, Building Resilience: Transformational Success Stories from Europe and CIS and is issued by the Regional Bureau of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). It details the best success stories in Europe and the CIS. Of all 25 countries, where UNDP has offices, only 16 have been included in the publication. Bulgaria was the only country singled out under the criterion creating of new jobs and microfinancing in less developed areas. It was presented in the Publication through the project JOBS of the Bulgarian Government and UNDP.
