When it comes to the subject of Enlightenment I am no authority. I do not possess special knowledge nor do I profess to speak to you now from some elevated state. On all matters Divine there is but one authority and that is The Great Mystery.
Enlightenment is often said to be a state of conscious communion with Divine Source.
According to some spiritual traditions this state is something of a finish line. One's existence is seen to be a cycle of birth, death and rebirth as one's soul…

With each passing day, as I look inward and as I take in what is going on with the world outside, my heart opens. And the more it opens the more I understand why I have kept it shut for so long. The more my heart opens, the more I understand why the world has closed its heart.

I find it harder and harder to criticize the world from a place of anger or disappointment. The screwed up world and the screwed up self are not only reflections of each other, they are one in the same. I am the suffering and the beauty and everything in between - not as some new philosophy but as a felt experience, moment by…

If you consider yourself to be on any kind of spiritual path, you very likely have had a tendency to be too hard on yourself. You try not to think negative thoughts, to avoid judging others, to avoid "sin". One definition of the word "sin" is "separation from God". We want to avoid our dark side and become of "how we are supposed to be". This way of thinking occurs probably not as the result of religion, but religion has sprouted as the result of…

I went skydiving for the first time in tandem and the parachute did not open properly. We jumped from over 2 miles up in the sky out of a small aircraft and at about 3,000 feet the instructor cut the chute loose. I asked him what was going on and he didn't answer me. I could see the ground coming at me fast. When I jumped out of the airplane, I knew to expect a feeling of free fall, but I did not expect to have that feeling twice. It was as if I had been pushed down an elevator shaft. I kept asking the instructor what was going on and still there was no answer.
Then I felt this tremendous tug at my rib cage as the free fall slowed down. The instructor had dispatched the emergency parachute. All of the little squares down on the Earth below…

Over a long enough period of time, the survival rate for your body is zero. Contained within the body is the brain and one of the functions of the brain is the ego. The ego is the self concept of the brain-body organism and it does not like what was just said one bit.
And there are different states of consciousness than just ego. The ego is like a dog you bring with you on a journey. Untrained, it will run off, bite others and come back to bite you. But trained and disciplined it knows its place. It can sense things, warn you of danger, protect you. As the…

The Buddha was sitting under a tree talking to his disciples when a man came and spit on his face. He wiped it off, and he asked the man, “What next? What do you want to say next?” The man was a little puzzled because he himself never expected that when you spit on somebody’s face, he will ask, “What next?” He had no such experience in his past. He had insulted people and they had become angry and they had reacted. Or if they were cowards and weaklings, they had smiled, trying to bribe the man. But Buddha was like neither, he was not angry nor in any way offended, nor in any way cowardly. But just matter-of-factly he said, “What next?” There was no reaction on his part.
Buddha’s disciples became angry, they reacted. His closest disciple, Ananda,…

I was standing in a bedroom. There were toys on the floor. I think I was wearing nothing but diapers. There was warm sunlight coming in through the windows. I looked around in a state of innocent curiosity.
Standing in the doorway were my parents. They were saying something. They wanted to make sure that I wouldn't be scared. They were trying to explain to me that they were going out to dinner and were coming back. They were leaving, but they would return. Something about a babysitter and reminding me that I liked this babysitter. And then they left the doorway.
And then it was just me. This is my first memory of self reflection. I touched my arms and I touched my stomach. I had a sense of remembering. I was remembering a time before this time. The details were unclear. All I could recollect were the feelings, sensations. I had a feeling that "I" existed before all of this...
And…

Do you remember back when the night would call you and you ran after it? Do you remember its song and the endless drive that had you driving up and down city blocks for hours at a time?
Do you remember the neurons firing and not letting up, as the street lights went on at dusk and died at dawn, while your eyes dried trying to stay open, while that urgent hum inside your head refused to stop?
Remember what it was like back when you were alive but the world was dead? Remember how many times you died trying to bring it back…

Anything a person says about the true intentions of Jesus are pure speculation. He never wrote anything down. NONE of us have any idea what he actually said, what he meant. You can make Jesus into absolutely ANYTHING you want to believe him to be. But that does not make it true. More people have died in his name than any other.…Continue

Up until fairly recently, I went through most of my life thinking about what I thought the world owed me and what I could get from it. Then a transformation began, one which is very much still playing out - evolving, and I experienced something of a shift in perspective.Without giving it much thought, my natural inclination has been to consider what I owe the world and what I can give it - as it has given me everything and always does.…Continue

The newer popular alternatives to religion, that come in the form of new age spirituality such as "The Secret" are just as loony as the promise of heaven for the believer, and a lake of hellfire for the nonbeliever. This ever so intoxicating form of delusion is simply more escapism - a new belief system to impose upon reality, in order to avoid true, honest and courageous self inquiry. In this form of wishful thinking the egoic mind is "meant" to have whatever it visualizes and this gets…Continue

If a book guides you, my feeling is that such a book would not be as reliable a guide as love. Best to follow the heart, even foolishly at times, if one is to be a real human being. My heart tells me that the world is in a desperate state of crisis right now. I feel driven to stand up and do my part to try to lead where I can, and to reduce suffering where I can, and to never lose sight of the reality that it's not really me who is doing any of it. The human experience is but a fraction of who…Continue

The Jewel of Enlightenment is hidden in the lotus. Sure. But it's also hidden in the BMW website and in the faces of all the starving children. The Jewel of Enlightenment is hidden at WalMart and in the heart of your worst enemy. The Jewel of Enlightenment is hidden in every star and in every subatomic particle. The Jewel of Enlightenment is hidden in plain sight. The Jewel of Enlightenment is You.…Continue

Aha! it all makes sense now.
hey Eric,
I ve been working on a piece of writing I'm interested in posting on the blog here, but I'm unsure. it's looking to be about 10,000 words. It is largely spiritual and relating to bettering oneself and one's global community, but also delves into other topics semi-relevant to humanity and the like. Also, it is a vastly different tone than most of what is here... I'd liken it more to your 'Manifesto for a world gone off its meds' i saw recently (though it is quite different, still). So i wanted to check to see if this would be an appropriate avenue or if the site/blog is primarily for downright focus on enlightenment/spirituality (which makes perfect sense to me). I can email it to you or something once i finish so you'd have a better idea... just finished first draft so should be ready within a week or so. let me know
-Much thanks, Kyle
Hi Eric...just passing through as I do once in awhile, watching what you are doing...great structure...GREAT POTENTIAL.....
One thing ...your title ...Global One...TV.....
I dont see the TV.....could it be that there is a future for you and your project that you have not yet really seriously considered.......I've seen you on a tv interview...you were at ease with the position and came across in a way that I could begin to understand where you are coming from......you come from a media background.....so why dont you fulfil your projects title , set up an inexpensive studio and do a live talk show on U Stream....With the diversity of 'awakening ' content you could be on air 24/7/365 and never go over the same ground twice.....you already have a huge, shall we say the largest spiritual web audience in the world....you would have no problem in filling the hours with the most interesting characters from the 'spiritual world' with so much to say you could just sit back, listen drink your coffee from your GlobalOne TV mug and just add a few comments every now and then......the show would run itself basically.....You must have all this in mind...surely...I've seen you seeking funding by donation....I'm skint....with a spirtual channel as pictured you could gain solid sponsership.....and with that you could consolidate your position as a front runner in 'the Age of Aquarius' !!!!......the opportunity is there for you...you have the show title, you have the audience, the subject matter and you could handle the big chair.....DUDE !!!!
When I first took a look at U Stream I thought there would be far more there in quality and duration......there's hardly anything...it's a phenomenal platform and no one is on it....
the only interesting channel I found was Joe Rogan and some very interesting interviews but his whole image is ruined by the ridiculous advertisements ...he could be coming across far better than he does...
As for me...I'm overrun and heading in too many directions at present.....I am forming a band called StarTramps and am climbing the ReverbNation charts on a daily basis....a project which has distracted me away from Creation Cosmology and my writings from the nineties...The Cosmolossal Ocean.....I'm into cartoons with Xtranormal/State and several other art projects....I am considering running The Cosmolossal Channel on U Stream using the cartoons rather than going live....all projects for the future.....
Anyway...just thought I would take this time to put my thoughts about you and what you are doing and what you could be doing across to you......
and one last thought...if you dont get on that platform in that position...someone else soon will........
paul venice...AstroboONE....StarTramps...Cosmolossal Creations......
Where can I get a copy of The Bondage? I'm willing to pay retail.
Eric, I know a group of people that might help finance your film. I've forgotten your email address. Do you remember mine? I need to private message you to tell you about them. :-)
Where can I see or purchase a copy of "The Bondage"? Also have you considered starting a Roku channel? You would not have to worry about being "locked" as you are with Livestream. It appears that a Roku channel is not very costly, judging by the appearance of some of the lesser ones. It could be video on demand or streaming video, both are real popular on Roku. I'd even donate a few bucks to help get one started; not much though because it would come out of my student loans ;)
And Ollie is right about Hicks. He is / was profoundly funny.
I am very pleased to have found you!
Eric why is the live stream down?
Consider this: Do you know Bill Hicks? If you have, you can stop reading right here, but if not: He is the guy who would have started the actual revolution, the revolution he preached, if he had lived long enough. His message is strikingly similar to yours, only wrapped in biting cynicism and sharp witted criticism of everything that is usually considered wrong in this world by people like you and me. They call him the "bullet in the heart of consumerism, capitalism and the American Dream;[...]one of the few people who may be mentioned as being worthy of inclusion[...] in any list of unflinching and painfully honest political philosophers.”
The Man is my Hero. I mention him as many times as possible, because I feel that he IS the message that i think needs to be heard. I thought I'd let you know.
PLUS, the dude is SCREAMINGLY funny.
