The Cobblestone Museum

Welcome to the Museum

The Cobblestone Museum is a collection of three historic cobblestone buildings on their original locations and five additional historic buildings all representing life and culture from Western New York's past.  Cobblestone structures are native to within about 75 miles of Rochester NY.  They were primarily built between 1825 - 1860.  Each structure is unique and each has a story to tell.

Visit us to see the oldest Cobblestone Church in North America.  Also tour inside the cobblestone house used as a parsonage located next to the church. Experience what it was like to be a student by visiting the one room cobblestone school.  There is also a blacksmith shop, print shop, harness shop and farmer's hall. The museum provides a wonderful snapshot of what life was like in the late 1800's and early 1900's in this area of western NY.
