You should probably explain that Harriet the Spy is a kids’ movie from the 90s, produced (?) by Nickelodeon. It was directed toward little girls.

Well, your mileage may vary on ST and Abrams. He resuscitated Star Trek successfully after ST:X and Enterprise killed it, imho.
