  1. I am curious if any folks who ranted at Jeff’s explanations recently submitted anything.
It is work if one wants to do the job well! Understanding is one thing, expaining is another matter. I often felt I was too much stating the obvious, altough I knew in my head that it was not always the case.
And there is a surprisingly number of comics which I skipped because I did not feel there was nothing unobvious in there, pretty straight forward, nothing to explain…

  2. I’m a little nervous about all the explanations I submitted a couple of days ago. They didn’t get mentioned here. I wonder if they were received at all?

I imagine they were and they’re just a bit behind the curve. Still, makes me nervous that someone might get in and explain MY special favorites.

  3. I jumped on my favorite one and then went back chronologically, skipping ones that I had trouble with. I’ll probably take a crack at them in the future…I was surprised to see only a few posted here this week.

  4. Well, I submitted thirty, and if nine other people did the same, that would amount to three hundred. All to be read, judged, possibly compared to one another, that is quite a lot of work. In fact, to cover everything, at least six hundred submissions are needed, remember!
But still, I am curious about how things are going myself, naturally.

  5. I also threw in a large number, so I assume Jeff just went with some arbitrary choice of a few he could deal with – either people with fewer submissions, or perhaps these were just the first ones in.

I started from comic 1 and worked up (not skipping a good number because I felt they didn’t need explaining or I couldn’t say much about them personally) so perhaps if other people started from comic 1, there’s a lot of Jeff having to choose “which one is best” as he said he would. These may have just been the only ones to submit for higher number comics :)

  6. Still working on them! Haven’t been able to go through all of them yet. There are a lot!
