Never saw Tengen Toppa Guren Lagann. It got lots of recommendations so I’ll definitely add it to my list.

Man, I wish a big tech-focused company I’d want to work for was located in Philly (Comcast is not at all enticing)

Welp I hope so.
I’m thinking Videos and Chronological Stories are most useful at the moment.

Yeah, I have a mild obsession with this one Sax player on YouTube. Funny thing is he lives in Tokyo and has a day job as a security guard, but the man can play sax like a god.
There are actually lots of celebs on YouTube. these people just pump out high quality videos of them doing awesome stuff.

Finally!!!! Hopefully they copy Sony enough to have cross compatible games.
I’m thinking like how you can play PS One Classics and PS Minis on both a PSP and PS3 (and Vita) with only a single purchase that can be downloaded to any device that your PSN account info is activated on.
A unified account is almost worthless unless the unity actually does something meaningful beyond having the same name on two machines.

I’ve never heard of Madoka Magica so I’ll give that a whirl.
I think Code Geass has a strong element of political drama. I mean yeah sure that OBVIOUSLY isn’t the main attraction, but you have to have some kind of tolerance for political drama to watch it, after all it’s the politics that drive the plot.
Same for Gundam Wing to an extent. Do you think Zeta is better? I seriously don’t mind a hard boiled drama without the teen angst (in fact I think in a small way the over abundance of teen angst has turned me off some anime)

Sounds great! The only one of your suggestions I’ve already seen is Elfen Lied (indeed pretty good stuff there) Ghost, Paprika and Shigurui all look very promising Thanks for the recommendations! If you think of anything else please don’t hesitate to share

I don’t like that idea so much.
It would slow down the page from loading even if people don’t want to see the video. There is enough going on without a video player loading up that I may or may not want to view.

I feel similarly.
Once upon a time Chrome was awesome because it completely pulled the rug out from under everyone else, and they were scrambling to keep up, but nowadays they are all about even.
The only difference is that chrome is super limited compared to how customizable Firefox is, or the insane amount of advanced options that Opera has (also, no one has topped Opera’s native Tab Stacking management technique.)
I liked Chrome for what it taught me (clean yet powerful UI is great) but I can take those lessons and apply them to a more powerful and flexible browser. Personally, after a brief affair with Chrome, I’m back to firefox with Opera as my backup.

I once pirated a copy of the PC version of Devil May Cry 4. I then proceeded to buy it for my console instead lol. I still gave Capcom my money, but I’m sure they want to count that as a “lost sale” anyway :-\

I say this because the TAY mini-forum gets 500-700 comments daily and the majority of them are unique topics that could stand on their own in the main forum.

I imagine if the folks at Gaming stopping commenting on the TAY mini forum and used it properly by posting stuff directly to the gaming forum instead, gaming would blow past both in about three days or so.

This is stupid.
You can still buy the PSP Go and iPod Touch at retailers and those both completely cut retailers off from selling you content like the PSP 3000’s UMDs and a CD players music CDs.

I was thinking of that, but by now the online portion is dead so it isn’t really something that can be explored. What I think stands out most of all though is that Halo was a SUPER popular shooting game for consoles and after the idea of shooting got planted it stuck around like a bad weed. It’s easy to make and all you really need to do is swap out the graphics from humans at war, Aliens, robots, zombies, etc..
It was a hidden money maker that got over milked. COD was responsible for what happened afterwards, but I really think Halo is what kicked it off and is the more original game (for the reasons you stated)
For those reasons, Halo is a must play, where as COD is just a symptom. For the record, I really don’t like Halo, but I’d have to be stupid to not recognize the impact it had on the industry.
