Nokia rolling out Windows Phone Tango update to Lumia 800 and 710 on June 27th, includes internet sharing
Nokia has announced that it will be releasing a software update (Windows Phone Tango) for its Lumia 800 and Lumia 710 handsets that will introduce several new features, with internet sharing perhaps the most anticipated among them. Initially launched exclusively on the flagship Lumia 900 in April, Nokia promised that internet sharing would be rolled out to its other Lumia devices "in the near future." A subsequent firmware update brought tethering functionality to select 710 and 800C hardware, but today's announcement means that all owners of the Lumia 800 and Lumia 710 will soon have the option of sharing their cellular connection with various other gadgets — assuming your data plan permits such a luxury.
Additionally, the company will be adding Flip-to-Silence which, as the name implies, will silence your ringer when turning over your device. Both Lumia products will also gain media streaming with the update, due to be released through Zune (and presumably Windows Phone Connector) software beginning June 27th.
