Tuesday night Foster the People was in town for a fun and crazy show! The crowd was full and going insane, the stage had Foster's creepy Torches characters causing havoc to the upbeat soundtrack of their songs and Mark Foster showed his multiple musical talents including dancing. Openers Mayer Hawthorne and Kimbra almost stole the show with their own fun and lively acts especially the time warp Mayer caused in making every girl wish they could be his fifties girl groupesque back up dancers! BUT what really stole the show was Foster the People's awesome charity organization called Foster the Future (http://www.fosterthefuture.com/)! The organization tours with the band partnering with local organizations in each city to help out various causes and they are always looking for VOLUNTEERS!
Some of the causes promoted at the Seattle show in particular were Love is Louder (…

Katalyst is an urban arts education program run by Washington Asian Pacific Islander (WAPI) Community Services. They have built up a comminuty of hip hop artists, producers, graffiti artists, and youth advocates to provide a safe, drug-free space that spreads the message of hip hop as civic engagement.
And they need some help.
They have lost a significant amount of funding due to city-wide budget cuts, but in an effort to not only stay afloat for one last push, they have started an Indiegogo campaign to raise funds that will serve as the seed to a self-sustaining program. Check out the video below, and click here to visit their Indiegogo campaign page.
The campaign is active until July 1st.
