Facebook has started implementing its Timeline design to Pages on mobile platforms.

Rolled out to the web version of Facebook in February, when you view a brand page on your mobile device you’ll now see the brand’s cover photo, information from the Page’s About section, and a larger Like button.

Smaller icons below the Like button will allow you to navigate, much like you can on Facebook, to Photos and Events for the Page, as well as see at a glance how many people have liked the page.

The Timeline view has been available for personal profile pages for quite some time, and was made available via mobile around the same time as it was on the web. Timeline for Pages on mobile devices, however, has taken a bit longer to hit the scene.

Previously, the mobile version of Pages would show you simply the profile picture for the Page, with the category and amount of likes the page had listed in small print below it along with a Like button. Checking out photos and info involved tapping a Wall, Info, or Photos button to toggle between.

  1. Great, didn’t like it on the desktop version and I can only imagine how horrible it’s going to be on mobile. I love how Facebook just does stuff. They give no warning and do stuff regardless. Everyone else warns you.

  2. They need to make the app tabs visible and selectable as well. Then this would rock.

  3. This still doesn’t work on the mobile IE of Windows Phone. It still displays the ancient 1980 version of FB…

  4. I wish they’d finally make Timeline available on the iPad… it’s a little ridiculous.

  5. Definitely a step in the right direction. What about 3rd party apps!

  6. timeline got more negative response than positive reviews, dont know how come its getting forced even on mobiles. Timeline already messed the easy user friendly interface of fan pages, now again.

  7. Embrace change guys…that’s the name of the technology game…tweak here or there isn’t gonna put you out that much – consider what it has contributed to your lifestyle. Keep things in perspective.

  8. I’m personally very excited that timeline is finally available. Cover photos, about section, and native favorited Facebook apps all visible on the main page. Next step will be 3rd party apps and then there will be no difference between mobile and desktop users!

  9. Yeah I have noticed that. Here’s the funny thing, however. On my phone I kind of like it. On the computer, I can take it or leave it lol
