OXM Wishlist - Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2

Matt makes tyrannous demands of MercurySteam

Several impressive trailers were shown during E3 month this year, including the Call of Duty one where everything blew up, the Battlefield Premium one where everything blew up, the Far Cry 3 one where tigers were set on fire, and the Watch Dogs one which demonstrated that all electronic gadgets are Tools of Satan.

But looking back, we'd have to say the trailer which made our lips quiver most was the Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 debut - a stonking CGI effort in which armies are whipped to custard and clockwork titans get eaten by smoke dragons. Amazing music, too. Matt's already had a think about what he wants from the game, but that was before it went public. Here's an updated version, aka the latest OXM Wishlist.

Look out for more Wishlists on Xbox Live. Any particular games we should list wishes for?

  1. How dare you knock a trained Shakesperian actor in Patrick Stewart, :P Although he didn't say a lot in Oblivion to be fair.Plus he needs the money since TNG,lol.

  2. Sir Patrick of Stewart is a damn fine actor thank you very much and he's great as the narrator in Ted!

He's a bit up his own arse though.Met him on the set of the 11th hour where me and my mate were extras.

  4. I watched this on xbox...

I am sure Patrick Stewart still gets revenue from TNG as it is constantly being shown somewhere - plus he does lend his voice to quite a few other things too...

I think it would be quite good to play this from two different perspectives - who wouldn't want the opportunity to play as Alucard?

I would love to play a game as a blood sucking Prince of Darkness - A good Horror game is what we need - especially with Dead Space and Resident Evil vacating that genre...

  5. I'm totally not slagging off Patrick Stewart, by the way - he's a legend!

Come on though - the narration in LoS was BALLS.

  6. I second the ballsing of LoS's narration - it's blindingly overwritten. Maybe Patrick wasn't being paid by the hour.

  7. If anybody else had done the narration, the game would have been way worse, except perhaps Sir Ian McKellen. I'm thirding the overwritten motion as well, they were just trying to fill screen space. Half of it didn't make much sense, either.

That's because an actor of the Patster's awesome magnitude can't concern himself by conversing meaningfully to a humble extra , you are beneath him and should mind your tone when writing about him on his favorite website!

Yeah O.K I'm jealous that you have met him when the most famous people I ever met were Cannon and Ball! ( and Simon Cowell , but we don't discuss that! )

As for the script of LOS , to be fair , I can't recall much of it as it was a holiday rental so I was drunk through most of it , will have to rent it again and see what all the fuss is about!

  9. Didn't mean anything by it,think he is cool.Been in some good stuff,in his defense he was flying to America straight after to do X- Men 3.

    Simon Cowell,nnooooooooooooo.
