Overview
The BWF invests significantly every year to support development projects and activities at the world, regional and local levels.
Key focuses for development are:
Youth - Shuttle Time schools badminton / university badminton
Coaches – coach education / coaching resources
Player development – towards London 2012 and beyond
Technical Officials – training /education courses
Administrators / event managers - training courses
Membership – activities to gain new Members
Continental Confederations – grants to support regional and national development projects
Olympic Solidarity – supporting Members to access funding for development
BWF development is guided by the Development Plan 2011 - 2016 and Strategic Plan.
Two priority focues are:
- Coach Education
- Schools Badminton Project
