'X Factor': Who is the show's greatest ever act?

The biggest show on earth is here. No, not the Olympics silly - The X Factor. On August 18, Louis Walsh returns to our screens, more pop hopefuls will belt, screech and sing and our Saturday nights will be ruined until Christmas.

To celebrate the reality telly monster's ninth series (yes, you read that correctly, nine!), Reality Bites wants to find out who is the greatest X Factor act of all time. And what better way to find out definitively than by asking the show's biggest fans of all - Digital Spy readers.



From Saturday, we'll be running daily battles featuring the best and most successful X Factor stars from every series. We'll put the solo singers, girl groups and boybands head-to-head, allowing you to pick your favourites to send through to the next round.

But before we start, we want to find out which acts you believe should be involved in this fiercest of battles. If we include everyone, we'll be here until next August and we suspect nobody is going to be voting for 2 To Go or Girlband.
