Spirit Chaser Coffee Porter

R&B Brewing Co., in partnership with Salt Spring Coffee, is pleased to announce the launch of our newest beer, Spirit Chaser Coffee Porter. We’ve infused a rich porter with direct trade coffee from the Aceh Gayo region of Indonesia to create this uniquely flavoured brew. A heady ale with a chocolate and roast coffee flavour, this beer is a wonderfully balanced drink and a proudly interesting addition to the R&B line up. Try this collaboration that spans from the jungles of Sumatra to the urban jungle of East Vancouver.

What Is A Spirit Chaser?
In Sumatran tradition, a spirit chaser is a carved wooden totem that, like a Native American dreamcatcher, is used to protect sleeping people from subconscious negativity. While dreamcatchers filter bad dreams from good, spirit chasers (which take many forms, from dragons to monkeys to the strangely gallant flying pig) are supposed to ward off evil spirits from harming dreamers. They guide their charges from the dream world to the real world, ensuring that those who leave reality at night awaken safely in the morning. Not unlike a designated driver.
