Dhanush is quietly working for his next much-anticipated film Mariyaan in Bharat Bala’s direction.
Produced by Aascar Ravichandran at a whopping budget, the film has Academy winner A.R. Rahman composing the music. Parvathy of Poo fame plays the female lead.
Reportedly, Rahman has completed almost all the songs for Mariyaan. And, an insider from the production house reveals that ARR has given some outstanding pieces.
The first schedule was in Namibia, where a few action sequences and the theme song were canned on the lead pair in the coastal desert, one of the oldest deserts in the world.
A close source informs DC that Rahman has lent his vocals for a highly emotional number Vizhithidu Nenje captured on Dhanush and Parvathy in the midst of the sand dunes (created by the strong onshore winds) of the coastal desert, which is said to be highest in the world.
We hear that the last schedule of the film is going on in Bhuj, Gujarat. Dhanush, in an earlier interview to this newspaper, had said that Mariyaan has a cracker of a subject and a role that he has not portrayed so far.
