Bleacher Report chips in with popchips’ game changers program

Bleacher Report is proud to be a game changer. That’s right, we’re teaming up with popchips and Tim Lincecum to give back to the San Francisco Bay Area community.

popchips’ game changers program asks fans to submit ideas on how Tim can give back to the community. Fans will then vote on the community project submissions, and Tim will select one local cause from the top five most popular ideas.

You can submit your ideas here by April 30. We couldn’t be more excited to be a part of such a good cause!

Introducing Bleacher Report for the iPad

We’re excited to announce that we’ve created a brand new, optimized Bleacher Report experience for your iPad!

First up is Team Stream HD – our 5-star mobile app is now redesigned for the iPad and available in the App Store!

We’ve listened to what you love the most about Team Stream and given it some room to breathe on the iPad. Just like on your iPhone or Android, you can choose the teams and topics you care about and follow them in real time with:

  • Hand-picked news and analysis from Bleacher Report, Twitter and many more sources across the web
  • Push notifications for your teams’ breaking news as it happens
  • A new personalized home screen experience with the latest from Bleacher Report and your teams.

We’ve laid out Team Stream to take advantage of the iPad’s extra real estate so you can tap and swipe your way through your teams, streams, and news.

A new BleacherReport.com experience for iPad- while we had our iPad developer hats on, we also created a brand-new article and slideshow design for iPad users visiting BleacherReport.com. We worked to make our articles and slideshows really captivating for the tablet, and we think you’ll enjoy the full-screen photos, seamless transition between stories, and ease of sharing and commenting.

And this is just the start!

We’ve not only gotten rave reviews of Team Stream but continue to see mobile traffic explode at Bleacher Report from 5% a year ago to over 30% today. As we begin 2012, we’ll continue to work on ways to help sports fans get even more out of these devices that they carry around with them during and between sporting events. Stay tuned — we could not be more excited.
