Something in the heir tonight! Lily Collins is stunning in colourful mini dress as she and fellow celeb offspring Patrick Schwarzenegger premiere their film

She's the heir to the throne of the impossibly talented Phil Collins, but Lily is carving further into her own niche all the time.

Tonight, the 23-year-old actress arrived to gasps at the Toronto film festival premiere of her new film, Writers, thanks to her decision to wear a stunning multi-colour Balmain minidress.

She paired the lovely little number with Casadei shoes, and Tiffany & Co. jewelry.

Lily was joined by her co-star, who also knows a little bit about having a famous father.

Step forward, 18-year-old Patrick Schwarzenegger.... son of Arnold and Kennedy princess, Maria Shriver.

Lily and Patrick were also joined by their co-stars Logan Lerman, Nat Wolff, Greg Kinnear, Glen Powell, and Liana Liberato.

Glen‘s roommate Chord Overstreet came out to support him at the premiere, as well as Lily‘s Mortal Instruments co-stars Kevin Zegers and alleged boyfriend Jamie Campbell Bower.

The young stars, who are yet to confirm their heavily speculated romance, were seen in the streets of the Canadian city getting down to their day jobs.

The Mortal Instruments, which is set for release in August 2013, is based on City Of Bones, the first of Cassandra Clare’s best selling young adult book series.

Set in contemporary New York City, Lily plays Clary Fray, a teenager who discovers she is the descendant of a line of Shadowhunters, a secret cadre of young half-angel warriors locked in an ancient battle to protect our world from demons.

Since arriving in Toronto, Lily and Jamie haven't been shy in flaunting their rumoured relationship, and have put on a number of tactile displays of affection in full view of the paparazzi.

Jamie was previously engaged to his Harry Potter co-star Bonnie Wright.

Meanwhile, Lily has been linked with stuntman Riley Harper, Twilight hunk Taylor Lautner, and Zac Efron, whom she was photographed with back in February at Soho House in West Hollywood.

I know she loves her full brows, but I wish she'd at least tweeze the section over the bridge of her nose. She's got such a pretty face and just getting rid of that would look so much better. When you look at her you see her brows first and you shouldn't. Her eyes should stand out first. But it's her face. She's gorgeous either way.
