Pink lady! Little Miss Sunshine Abigail Breslin joins fashionistas front row at Nanette Lepore in electrifying dress

It's a label known for its fun and flirty approach to fashion.

So it was little surprise when Abigail Breslin turned up today to support Nanette Lepore as the designer showcased her Spring/Summer 2013 collection.

The 16-year-old actress looked as though she was experimenting with her own style in a hot pink dress as she posed with Lepore backstage.

Abigail, who wore her long blonde hair straightened and tucked behind her ears, paired vibrant pink blush and heavy eyeliner with the eye-popping frock.

Vertical black stripes elongated her figure, while the actress added some extra height with a pair of nude peep-toe pumps.

Lepore was meanwhile dressed in her own striped halter dress nipped at the waist with a neon green and orange belt that matched her electric green wedges - also seen down the runway.

The designer's collection showcased bold prints in bright hues for Spring 2013.

Abigail, who was seen in a more demure earth tone ensemble at Alice + Olivia on Monday, meanwhile spoke out about her own style evolution in a recent interview.

Naming Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly as her fashion icons, she told Newsday: 'My style changes every few years. I started out loving the rocker look, and now I'm more into classic, but with a little bit of New York boho edge to it.'

The Little Miss Sunshine actress has a busy work schedule ahead, with three films already in post-production for a 2013 release.

She is soon set to begin filming comedy Virgin Mary, about two best friends who vow to have sex with one another if they don't lose their virginity by the time they turn 18.

Abigail will also share the big screen with Julia Roberts and Meryl Streep in 2013 comedic drama August: Osage Country, about a family overcoming its differences when its alcoholic patriarch goes missing.

Showing her versatility, she will then co-star with Clint Eastwood's daughter, Francesca, in Tyler Shields' Final Girl, a thriller about a pack of teenage boys who choose the wrong girl to be the victim of their 'initiation'.
