There's a new queen of New York! Sarah Jessica Parker's daughter Marion dons a gold crown for stroll in the city

Her name may have become synonymous with New York City after six years strutting around town as fashionista Carrie Bradshaw in TV drama Sex and the City.

But it looked like Sarah Jessica Parker's three-year-old daughter Marion Loretta was hoping to take on the mantle of Manhattan royalty today with the youngster sporting a large gold crown on her head during a stroll with her mother.

Marion was joined by her twin sister Tabitha who was pushed by a nanny in an identical stroller.

However, she looked more interested in eating her cracker than in her sister's shining headpiece.

Sporting a pretty pink dress and grey sandals, Marion was a lot more dressed up than Parker who opted for a low key grey sweater, trousers and ballet flats.

There was no sign of the twins' older brother James, nine, or Parker's actor husband Matthew Broderick.

The Sex & the City star was today taking a breather from New York Fashion Week, where she has been attending a multitude of events.

Parker was spotted on Sunday at the tents at Lincoln Center, and on Friday was a guest at the Fred Leighton boutique as part of the jewellery designer's Fashion's Night Out gathering.

She has also been in front of the camera recently, filming her eagerly awaited appearance on musical TV smash Glee.

In addition, she will appear as Gloria Steinem in the feature film Lovelace, and as the voice of Kira Supernova in animated comedy Escape from Planet Earth, scheduled for release in December and later next year, respectively.

Next up for the actress will be romantic comedy Married and Cheating, about three different couples affected by infidelity.

The film, co-starring Brendan Fraser and Eva Longoria, according to reports, is currently in pre-production for a 2013 release.
