Hundreds of protesters angered by an anti-Islam film stormed the U.S. Embassy compound in Sana'a in the latest of a series of attacks on American diplomatic missions in the Middle East. Once a year the crustaceans make their way to the sea where the females cast their fertilised eggs into the water before retreating back into the vegetation close to the coast.

The body of Dawn Viens, 39, from LA, has never been found after she vanished in October 2009. Jacqueline Viens told a court her father David said her body would never be found. John Adam Kinosh allegedly smashed Charles Hawkesworth across the face after arguing with the taxi driver in Surf City, North Carolina. Green Beret Arthur Thompson, 89, (top right), was part of a 47 Royal Marine Commando smash and grab sortie to the island on November 1 1944 to ensure it was cleared to allow Allied forces to take the key port of Antwerp.

Three daring surfers braved these waves off the coast of Karitane, New Zealand - despite the fact that they were completely covered in thick dirty foam. The murky coloured waves were a result of flooding and the surfers had to dodge litter and debris in their hunt for the perfect ride.
