Star power: Olivia Wilde and America Ferrera bond at screening of their new charity film

They may not usually be seen arm in arm but Oliva Wilde and America Ferrera appeared to have formed a strong bond tonight.

The fellow actresses, both 28, posed up together at the screening of their film HALF THE SKY in New York.

The movie focuses on ‘Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide’.

They went for very different looks but both were left showing their stylish sides.

Olivia looked very demure in her form-fitting black dress which was cinched in at her tiny waist with a matching leather belt.

The star finished off her look with sky high sandals and tied her hair into a neat chignon.

Meanwhile Ugly Betty actress America showed off her ample cleavage in her prom dress style frock.

The garment was textured with indigo flowers and she paired it with studded peep toe heels.

It seems that the two leading ladies have bonded over the experiences they underwent respectively for the film.

Olivia and America travelled across the globe to meet inspiring people for the broadcast event.

Other celebrities to be involved include Diane Lane and Meg Ryan.

The series was inspired by the widely acclaimed book by Nicholas Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn.
