Good Morning America host Robin Roberts wrote a touching message on her blog on Tuesday to let people know that she's staying positive amid her health battle.

Roberts, 51, who is absent from GMA to prepare for a bone marrow transplant scheduled for Thursday morning in New York City, poured out her heart to her supporters.

She detailed the debilitating effects on her body from daily doses of chemotherapy.

'Last Sunday to lift my spirits I threw a little party at my apartment for my 'GMA' family,' Roberts writes on her blog, posted on abcnews.com, adding that her 'body is so weak.'

'The next morning I walked through the hospital doors, with my guardian angels -- mom & dad - back together and blazing a trail ahead of me.

'The start of last week went well but the daily chemo/treatment caught up to me by the weekend. My body is so weak but not my mind. YOU give me the courage to keep going.

She continued: 'So today is my last day of chemo...Wednesday is called a day of rest, yay, right! The transplant is scheduled for Thursday morning.'Bless you & Onward!'

Roberts will undergo the bone marrow transplant to treat a rare blood disorder called myelodysplastic syndrome or MDS - her sister Sally-Ann is the donor.

The disease has damaged the GMA host's bone marrow, and likely arose as a result of the chemotherapy Roberts' underwent in 2007 to successfully treat her breast cancer, according to GMA's chief health and medical editor, Richard Besser.

Roberts isn't expected to reclaim her seat on GMA for several months, to allow her time to recover.

The TV anchor suffered another emotional blow on August 30 when her beloved mother, Lucimarian, passed away at home in Mississippi at the age of 88 - her father, Lawrence, died in 2004.

But through it all, Roberts remains upbeat, as an earlier message to her fans on Twitter shows: 'I take each & every one of you w/me in my heart. Light and love.' Inspiration: Robin will always be grateful to her mother

Well done Robin, this is a class act all the way! Robin shows the world just why she is soooooo loved and admired by so many people. Instead of hiding her pain and sorrow, closing the door and healing behind the scene, in privacy, she once again takes people on her journey from sickness to regain health&strength.; And yes, Robin, you were blessed with a strong mind and your body will soon be to!!

It's so sad she had to lose her mother right before starting such a difficult treatment. My thoughts are with her. She seems to have a wonderful attitude. I hope she can stay positive.
