'The mother is sexier than the daughters': Karl Lagerfeld now gives his verdict on Middleton matriarch Carole, 57, after saying he 'doesn't like Pippa's face'

He has already said that he didn't like Pippa Middleton's face, suggesting that the Duchess of Cambridge's sister should only show off THAT famous derriere.

But it seems that Karl Lagerfeld has quite the penchant for the sister's mother Carol.

The Chanel designer, 78, has even gone so far as to call the 57-year-old Middleton matriarch 'sexy'.

'I think Carole is very sexy,' Lagerfeld said in a new interview with Grazia UK. 'I think the mother is sexier than the daughters.'

Lagerfeld thinks that The Party Pieces co-owner, who has three children with her husband Michael, including Kate, Pippa and their brother James, 25, is 'full of life'.

'There is something full of life about her,' he said. 'For a woman who must be 50 or so I think she's great. Full of energy.'

In his interview, the eccentric designer also back tracked about his cutting remarks about Pippa, 28.

Earlier this year, the designer was commenting on Miss Middleton's style, when he admitted that he admired only the rear view of her.

According to The Sun, he said 'Kate Middleton has a nice silhouette and she is the right girl for that boy.

'I like that kind of woman, I like romantic beauties.

'On the other hand, her sister struggles,' he continued.

'I don't like the sister's face. She should only show her back.'

In his new interview with Grazia, Lagerfeld insists that what he really meant was that he didn't like the way Pippa's make-up was done.

'I only meant I don't think her makeup is right. She has a roundish face and round eyes and she should pick another makeup for the eyes,' he said.

In the interview, Lagerfeld, who recently launched his cosmetics collaboration with Shu Uemura, also made his feelings clear about the most famous member of the family, Kate.

'I love Kate Middleton!" he gushed. 'She can try anything. For makeup, she has no limits!'

Mrs M. certainly does have drive. The daughters are both quite flat chested - very far from sexy - and seem to live their lives strategically - strictly in accordance with a Social Advancement Strategy. .

I think all of the MIddleton ladies have hard faces and beady eyes, which are made beadier by the harsh eyeliner they all wear, and their smiles don't seem to reach their eyes, not matter how broadly they smile for the cameras. I don't find any of them ugly, but I don't find them very attractive either. I like women who have a softer, warmer appearance.

Somehow, I don't think this man who is afraid to take off his sunglasses in public, will be someone any of the Middleton women will go to for fashion. Carole will never wear his clothes since he has insulted her daughters so absurdly; so he needn't try to court her now. His comments are a poor attempt to hitch his name to their star which far outshines his, It's kind of sad for an old man to be so obvious.

None of them have je ne sais quoi. You know something that makes you stand out. I'am sorry but they all look and act very ordinary, very common. Just like Sophie and Camilla, all the expensive clothes, and facials and expensive jewellery, personal body trainers, does not by class. Either you have it or you don't. If Camilla, Sophie, and Kate walked down the street, and were not married to whom they are married (except Camilla, her marriage to Charles can not be legal), people would never take a look at them.

Haha Love Karl!!! I think Pippa isn't as hot as the press makes of her! For all you Karl haters you must not be into fashion, He is fantastic!!! Chanel and the fashion would would be lost with out him! I think he has a right to say what he wants and I do think Pippa does her make up badly and the press hype up her hotness too much.

Why does this (ugly weird camp unmarried childless) man think he is entitled to give his opinion on women? If Kate, Pippa or any women for that matter need advice on how they look, they can rely on close friends, their partner and family like the rest of us. Karl, mind you own business and do have a long hard look into a mirror at yourself!
