She bangs! X Factor USA judge Demi Lovato shows off new fringe in candid Twitter snap

On Monday night's Conan O'Brien show, Demi Lovato caused gasps when she branded her X Factor boss Simon Cowell an a**hole live on air.

And today she's caused more ripples with a brand new look.

The 20-year old starlet, who shot to fame in Disney's Camp Rock franchise, has overhauled her style with a long, blunt fringe.

She tweeted: 'Guess what's back, back, back, back again..... BANGS are back, back, back tell your friends.'

The singer looked pleased with her new hairstyle as she smiled knowingly at the camera.

Fans will also be wondering if Demi has had her hair lightened, as it looks very blonde in the image.

However, this could just be down to the filter she has used to create her trendy snapshot.

Viewers who have been following the Give Yourself A Break singer's progress on X Factor USA will be familiar with Demi's love of changing up her look.

On the September 13th episode, she appeared to have had a pink dip-dye treatment to her brunette locks.

A hit of the neon colour could be seen at the tips of her shoulder length ponytail.

However, on Monday night's Conan show, there was no evidence of the pink hair, hinting that she may have been wearing extensions, or experimenting with a temporary spray-in colour.
