    Last week marked the first week in Europe playing across the U.K. From the first stop in Sheffield came this great interview discussing everything from touring, starting to perform, to the new album. Check it out here.

  • Co-Production of "The Fantastic Expedition"

    Fantastic Expedition

    I am proud to announce the release of the album, "The Fantastic Expedition" ('De fantastische expeditie') released today by my dear friends, Erik & Sanne. This is my first coproducing venture and I am so honored that they asked me to help out. We put together a band of seasoned and soulful Texas musicians such as Earl Poole Ball (played on The Byrds' Sweetheart of the Rodeo!), Lloyd Maines, Luke Jacobs, Joel Guzman, Glenn Fukunaga, Brannen Temple, Ian MacLagan, and more! Erik and Sanne live in Belgium and have been singing together for over 20 years. They crossed the ocean with their daughter, Maartje, who also sings like a bird on this album, to record in my hometown of Austin, Texas at Cedar Creek Studios. Everybody who was involved in the project had a ball...it was one of those magical recording sessions that I won't ever forget. Erik and Sanne have graciously asked Luke Jacobs and I to join them in their CD release shows in September. Check out the tour dates for more information.

  • Last Week In The Studio!
    May 16th

    This is our last week working at the legendary Fantasy Recording Studios here in Berkeley, CA: land of perfect weather, amazing locally grown food, and cool hippies.  We are almost done mixing the new Carrie Rockriguez album! The room we have been recording in has been used by bands like Creedence Clearwater Revival, Chris Isaak, and even Journey:) oh yeah....Title to come soon...Needless to say, I am extremely excited to share the music with y'all!!! You can look for it to be released in early October. - Carrie
